Mr Hugh L. MacKinnon

Biography

Hugh MacKinnon, K.C. has been a lawyer for over forty years practising in Alberta and Ontario. He was Chair and CEO of Bennett Jones from 2005–2024. He is the Chair Emeritus of the CD Howe Institute, and the Past Chair of the Ontario Brain Institute, the Collegium of the University of St. Michael’s College (Univ. Toronto), The Canada Institute of the Woodrow Wilson Center (Washington), and has served with numerous other social, professional and business organizations. He is a member of the Law Societies of Ontario, Alberta and England and Wales.
