Mr Hugh L. MacKinnon

Biography

Hugh MacKinnon is the Chair Emeritus of Bennett Jones. He was the firm’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 2005 to 2023. Hugh is Chair of the Board of the C.D. Howe Institute and Co-Chair of the Canada Institute of the Wilson Center in Washington D.C. He is also past Chair of the Ontario Brain Institute, the Collegium of the University of St. Michael’s College (Toronto), and has served with numerous other social, professional and business organizations. He is a member of the Law Societies of Upper Canada, Alberta and England and Wales.
