Dr DezsÖ J. HorvÁth CM

Biography

Dezsö J. Horváth served as Dean of the Schulich School for 32 years, making him the longest serving dean of any major business school in the world. Dean of the Schulich School since 1988, Dezsö is an electrical engineer and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Licentiate and PhD degree in Management from Sweden.

Dr. Horváth is a Director of Inscape Corporation, UBS Bank (Canada), Toronto Leadership Centre and the Canada-India Business Council, and a Member of the International Advisory Council of the Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, and the Advisory Boards of Fundação Dom Cabral, Brazil and the St. Petersburg University School of Management. A former recipient of the B’nai Brith Canada Award of Merit, Dr. Horváth was named Dean of the Year in 2004 by the Academy of International Business (AIB) and a Member of the Order of Canada in 2008.
