Mr Dean A.Connor
Biography
Dean Connor was President and Chief Executive Officer of Sun Life Financial from 2011 to 2021. He serves on the boards of CPP Investments and the University Hospital Network, as well as several advisory boards. In addition to serving on the boards of several health care and arts organizations, he chaired the 2017 United Way campaign for Toronto and York Region, and Toronto Rehabilitation Institute’s ‘Making Incredible Happen’ campaign. In 2019 he was named one of the Top 100 Best-Performing CEOs in the World by Harvard Business Review.
Dean qualified as a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and Canadian Institute of Actuaries, and is a graduate of the Ivey Business School. Dean was named Canada’s Outstanding CEO of the Year for 2017® and Ivey’s Business Leader of the Year for 2018.
